On February, 27th, 2010 – Agency Fleishman-Hillard Vanguard provided informational support for the festive ceremony devoted to the Russian final of Pilsner Urquell’s International Master Bartender Program. The event took place at a new Czech beer restaurant, called Kolkovna.
The best barmen from Moscow and St.-Petersburg took part in the Russian final of Pilsner Urquell’s International Master Bartender Program at the new Czech beer restaurant Kolkovna. The final was observed by an expert jury: Vitaly Kozlov, Vice-president of Barmen Association of Russia (B. А.R.); Alexey Zimin, Editor-in-chief of «Afisha. Eda» magazine; Vladimir Filiptsev, Commercial Director at «SABMiller RUS»; Konstantin Gevondjan, brand manager of the Pilsner Urquell trade mark in Russia; and also Milan Dressler, head chef at Kolkovna restaurant.

The international program of Pilsner Urquell brand is annually run at the best bars and restaurants. Following the results of the program, the best barman is honored with the title Pilsner Urquell International Master Bartender of the Year. In 2009, nearly 4000 barmen from 20 countries across the world took part in the competition. More than 50 professional barmen vied for the right to participate in the Russian final of the program. Nine barmen-finalists passed the final competitive test which allowed to define the best barman in Russia. Yason Sangulija, a barman from the Moscow restaurant “Birkhen,” was chosen as the winner. He also took part in the Berlin international final in autumn 2009. «Participating in this competition allowed me to boost my professional skills and to learn a lot of new things about beer and high standards of working with it. I trained a lot, studied history, got acquainted with the features of manufacturing and the rules of how to serve a beer. Moreover, I hope that the obtained knowledge and experience will help me to act with dignity in Berlin», – stressed Jason Sangulija.
