This year’s «PR Technologies Day», organized by The Russian Communications Consultancies Association (АКОS), was devoted to Digital PR.
On April 6th, 2010 within the framework of the «Design and Advertising 2010» exhibition, «PR Technologies Day», organized by The Russian Communications Consultancies Association (АКОS), took place. The event annually attracts the attention of a wide audience – industry professionals, beginning experts, and also students. This year’s event was devoted to the topic of «Role of Digital PR in Business – Communications Sphere.»
Phillip Gurov, Managing partner of «Gurov and Partners», opened the session talking about the digital PR technologies in highest demand in Russia. In his opinion, the most common forms now in Russia are Internet-based promotions, such as Search Engine Optimization, banners, and context advertising. Denis Terekhov, General Director of «Social Networks» discussed the topic «What will occur, when new media ceases to be simply fashionable?» Mr. Terekhov noted that today there are very few companies that form separate departments to work with social media, but in 2010-2012 once the importance of working with new media has been sufficiently analyzed, their number will increase. Andrey Lapshov, President of Insiders Communication Group, President of IABC/Russia, mentioned a project intended to promote innovative activity amongst youth: «The Year of Youth – Zvorykinski Project.» And Natalia Vakhitova, General Director of PointPassat, not only presented the regular exhibition of creative projects from the communication sphere within the «Person With a Hammer» social project, but also brainstormed to find additional ways to promote this social initiative.

For several years already, АКОS has organized «PR Technologies Day» at the «Design and advertizing» exhibition in order to acquaint visitors with new trends and tools in the sphere of public relations.
