At a session of the Russian Communications Consultancies Association (АКОS), the agencies Comunica and Artisan Group were added to the organization’s associated members. Comunica, an integrated communications agency, which combines experience in traditional media with new social channels of communication, was accepted unanimously as a new associated member.
“For us, entry into professional associations such as АКОS is a very important and responsible step. In my opinion, it is an indicator of a certain maturity level for the organization: through just this one step in the market we are moving towards participation in its development and regulation. Comunica will take part with pleasure in the work of the association and New Media. Through this association we can be assured that the Russian PR-community will adequately and quickly react to changes in the communications market,” said Mikhail Umarov, managing director of Comunica.
Artisan Group, which was created in 2005 and proved itself as a dynamically developing PR-agency, also became an associated member of АКОS.
According to Alexander Filimonov, head of the PR-division of Artisan Group, in spite of the fact that the PR market in Russia is young, it is developing dynamically. The competitive Public Relations environment pushes agencies to perfect their expertise and to widen their use of international experiences. “We are very glad to become a part of this professional community, whose members (without exaggeration) are actually the brightest representatives of the Russian market. Now Artisan Group has reached such a level of work that further development would be impossible without attracting the experience of colleagues from other PR-agencies. Through the exchange of experience, the development of professional communication, and the realization of common initiatives, we see growth both professionally and in the market,” Filimonov noted.
“I am glad to welcome Comunica and Artisan Group as new associated members of АКОS. Today, АКОS members as a group occupy more than 50% of the Russian PR market. We know that new members will conduct active public work in the association, and the experience of Mikhail Umarov in the work with New Media will promote more active work for the association in the field of Digital-communications,” said Elena Fadeeva, chairwoman of АКОS, General Director of Fleishman-Hillard Vanguard.
