A contest in honor of the 200th Anniversary of N.I.Pirogov was held in Moscow supported by the chair of operative surgery and topographical anatomy of The Russian State Medical University (RSMU) named after N.I. Pirogov.
63 Teams from 17 Russian and Belarusian institutes took part in the Olympiad. There were five types of contests, the results of which were determined by 45 of the leading surgeons of Moscow and Belarus, professors, doctors and candidates of medical science. The Olympiad provided a good chance for many students to show their skills and to get acquainted with famous scientists from Russia and Belarus.
