The 29th and 30th of September, senior directors from across the international PR consultancy sector will gather in Sintra, Portugal for the 2011 ICCO Summit – “PR Takes the Lead: The Industry in 2020”.
World-class speakers will share their perspectives on major trends and new developments in public relations in addition to imparting practical knowledge during interactive break-out sessions. The line-up places industry legends alongside a “new generation” of innovative and highly successful players.
Speakers include Harold Burson of Burson-Marsteller as well as global and regional heads Lord Chadlington (Huntsworth), Robert Philips (Edelman), Rob Flaherty (Ketchum), Olivier Fleurot (MSLGROUP), Brad Staples (APCO), John Saunders (Fleishman-Hillard) and Jean-Leopold Schuybroek (Interel).
They are joined by the founders of leading local agencies in Australia, Bulgaria, Germany, Finland, India, Sweden and the UK in addition to renowned industry commentator Paul Holmes.
Plenary sessions will address the breadth of key issues in PR consultancy, such as: the rise and integration of social media; the role of communications in client organisations; the importance of reputation and trust; and competition with other disciplines.
Experts like Mark Adams (founder of Text 100), will also lead smaller discussion groups tackling the management of public relations consultancies from a variety of angles, including: finance, people, services, succession or sale and evaluation.
The ICCO Summit programme also incorporates the first-ever Global SABRE Awards dinner, in cooperation with The Holmes Group, as well as the ICCO Hall of Fame ceremony – both of which honour outstanding achievement in public relations.
Online registration and payment for the Summit are available at www.iccosummit.org through September 27th. Space is limited.
