New Partnership Announced with APEX-Brasil in Russia

In September 2011 Fleishman-Hillard Vanguard began a partnership with APEX-Brasil. FHV will provide information services to the agency which promotes Brazilian exports and investment in the country. The BRASIL TECH RUSSIA 2011 conference that took place in Moscow on November 1st and 2nd 2011 was a key event within the contract. It was attended by leading company representatives and members of both the Brazilian and Russian ministries.

BRASIL TECH is an international project devoted to the economy and industry of Brazil and to prospective investment in Brazilian companies worldwide.  It is the sixth time the Apex-Brasil agency has organized the event.  The conference is held to expand the export market of Brazilian goods and services and to encourage new foreign investment in Brazil.  BRASIL TECH RUSSIA 2011 showed the leading position of Brazil not only in its traditional industries such as food production and extraction of resources but also in areas including the manufacture of hi-tech goods, equipment, software, and biotechnology among others.

APEX-BRASIL is an agency responsible for promoting Brazilian exports and investment in Brazil.  It was founded in 2003 by the Government of Brazil together with the Ministry of Development of Industry and External Trade of Brazil.  It is a State organization which aims to support foreign investors seeking bilateral cooperation or to expand their business in Brazil, and also Brazilian companies entering the international market. APEX-Brasil actively promotes Brazilian exports by organizing commercial missions and negotiations, supporting Brazilian companies participating in large international exhibitions and encouraging foreign buyers. The basic mission of the agency is to diversify and increase the volume of Brazilian exports. Apex-Brasil currently supports more than 10,000 enterprises, in 79 sectors of Brazil’s economy, which accounted for 16.82 % of all the country’s exports in 2009. www.apexbrasil.com.br
