Fleishman-Hillard Vanguard Provides PR Support to General Motors at the MIAS 2012

As a part of a long-term partnership with General Motors in Russia, Fleishman-Hillard Vanguard communications agency provided PR support for the Opel, Cadillac and Chevrolet brands at the press day of the Moscow International Automobile Salon, which was held at the “Crocus Expo” International Exhibition Center.

A series of interviews with company’s top management was organized during The press day at the Opel, Cadillac and Chevrolet stands. There were more than40 planned and over 20 additional interviews held at the site with Fleishman-Hillard Vanguard’s support.

The corporate press, radio and TV speakers were Tim Lee, GM production Vice President and GMIO President, Ed Velburn, GM Global Design Vice President, Alfred Rieck, Opel/Vauxhall Vice-President of Marketing, Sales and Aftersales services, Jim Bovenzi, President and Managing Director of GM Russia and CIS, Malcolm Ward, Chief designer of GM Europe, Alexander Moinov, Managing Director of Chevrolet Russia, Andrey Kolosov, Cadillac Russia Marketing and Sales Director and Jeffrey Glover, GM-AVTOVAZ General Director.

For the first time in the history of the Moscow Automobile Salon, General Motors held a worldwide premiere and introduced the new Opel Astra sedan.

In 2011, GM signed a contract with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation for a$ 1 billion investment in the company’s operations in Russia over the next five years. This step demonstrates how important the Russian market is for GM.
