Elena Fadeeva Honored for Her Contribution to the Industry

Elena Fadeeva, General Director of FleishmanHillard Vanguard, honorary chairwoman of the board of the Russian Association of Communications Consultancies (AKOS), has been awarded the title of “Media Manager of Russia – 2013”, The XIII annual national award for “contribution to the development of the industry.”

Elena Fadeeva heads FleishmanHillard Vanguard in Russia and is expanding its footprint in other former Soviet countries. She founded Vanguard PR in 1993 and turned it into a market leader. In 2007, a joint venture with the world’s largest communications network FleishmanHillard (Omnicom Group Inc.) was created. FleishmanHillard Vanguard manages the reputation of leading Russian companies and multinational corporations in Russia and abroad, and is an expert in strategic communications consulting for Russian business. The agency is a part of a local communications group, which also includes Elefante (CRM / event-management) and Orta Agency (creative / monitoring and analytics).

In addition to managing the company, Elena is known for her wide ranging public activity, promoting the PR industry and professional services to businesses. She was elected honorary chairwoman of the board of the Russian Association of Communications Consultancies (AKOS) due to successfully operate and develop it from 2008-2012. For four consecutive years, under Elena Fadeeva’s direction, the Association implemented a significant number of initiatives aimed at forming and developing a highly professional, transparent and business efficient PR industry in Russia. High ethical standards were put in place and PR education was advanced. During this period, documents regulating base principles of work in the industry were also drawn up.

Now, Elena Fadeeva heads a working group on educational projects at AKOS and develops PR education in Russian universities. She is Associate Professor at the National Research University – Higher School of Economics, manages the “Strategic Consulting” special course at Moscow State University, teaches in the department of business public relations at St. Petersburg State University and conducts lectures and master classes for students of higher educational institutions. Elena is a member of the State Certification Commission of Moscow State University.

Elena is also the chairwoman of the Professional Services Industrial Committee, the Association of Managers (AMR), and head of the Communications Group of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP).

For her far reaching work in industry development and efficient business management Elena has received many industry awards. In the 2012 Top 1000 Russian Managers list, she sits on the jury panel for several professional awards and ranks amongst the most prominent leaders in the Professional Services category and.
