United Code of Ethics for the Communications Industry in Russia in SABRE 2015 Shortlist

FleishmanHillard Vanguard’s project became a finalist of the prestigious public relations prize the SABRE Awards 2015 EMEA. An international jury comprised of over 40 communications industry leaders selected a group of finalists in the awards’ ‘golden’ categories from more than 2000 applicants.

The United Code of Ethics for the Communications Industry is a an agreement that is unique in the Russian practice. Its goal is to establish a common set of ethical standards for the industry and all of its members.

The project was supported by Russia’s leading professional organizations, including the following: Association of Consultancies in the Field of Public Relations (AKOS), Russian Managers Association (AMR), Russian branch of IABC (International Association of Business Communicators), Russian Association of Marketing Services (RAMU), Russian Academy of Public Relations (RAOS), Russian Association of Political Consultants and Russian Public Relations Association (RASO).

The unique property of the United Code of Ethics for the Communications Industry is that it prescribes a set of standards for all types of communications on all channels, from media and government relations to internal communications and conduct with competitors in the public sphere. Today, the Code continues to evolve; we are developing new sections, including those devoted to social media and communications with the personnel. The new edition will be presented at the beginning of the summer of this year. The high appraisal the project has received from the SABRE jury confirms the importance and relevance of our initiative”.

The winners of SABRE Awards EMEA 2015 will be announced at the award ceremony in London on the 19th of May.
