300 people took part in the city marathon in support of healthy lifestyle on August 25 in Moscow’s Main Botanical Garden. The 5 km’s marathon united professional sportsmen, top tier communicators, sports lovers and healthy lifestyle followers.
It was the second time when the Leadership Dialogue Forum together with the international pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim, the Russian State Social University (RSSU) and ORBI Fund organized the marathon to champion wellness and sports and inspire people to follow healthy lifestyle. The marathon was supported by the Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) and RSSU Volunteer center. Sergey Matveev, the coach of the Russian junior football team, became the judge of the competition.
The marathon was held in 3 categories: novice, amateur and professional. Nikolay Kruglov, a four-times biathlon champion, Olympic medalist, PR director of Utair and Eventiada Awards’ jury observer was among the runners. A famous Instagram blogger Sofia Soldatova and a professional fitness instructor led a warming-up pre-following the marathon.
The event gathered representatives of the leading Russian and international companies, government bodies, industry associations and sports communities as well as students and teachers of the largest Russian universities. Both professional community and families joined the marathon and cheered on their runners. The marathon embraced people of all ages (the youngest participant was 7 years old) and various professions: teachers, doctors, engineers, architects, PR and communication managers, specialists in the area of marketing, civil servants, students, pupils and even retired people.
As the final accord of the event, Boehringer Ingelheim made a beautiful present to the Botanical Garden by planting an apple trees alley.
